www.senninger.com WOBBLER TECHNOLOGY Senninger introduced the Wobbler technology in 1980. The unique off-center rotary action provides outstanding uniformity over a large area at low pressures (10-25 psi). This design delivers a gentle rain-like application employing only one moving part for durability. The mini-Wobbler is designed for smaller flows of 0.42 - 2.61 gpm. The Xcel-Wobbler is ideal for flows from 0.78 - 6.97 gpm. Several models to choose from. PRESSURE REGULATORS Maintaining a constant present outlet pressure regardless of variations in inlet pressure helps assure optimum system performance. Senninger introduced the first inline high quality regulator in 1966. Several models to choose from. THE BEST IRRIGATION SOLUTIONS! THE BEST IRRIGATION SOLUTIONS!MISTERS Misters are designed for propagation or other low volume misting applications. They provide consistent system startup delivering an instantaneous, highly uniform pattern ideal for short cycle application. Upright and inverted models available. Air circulation generally is the best method for keeping nematodes viable and solutions properly agitated. Nematode solutions should be used immediately. Apply solutions within two hours for mechanical cir- culation and within four hours for air circulation. Adding cold packs to nematode stock solutions will ensure cool tem- peratures and maintain nematode vi- ability during applications. Shake it Up Continued from page 13(control), or mixed by using air or me-chanical circulation for a period of eight hours. The air circulation equip- ment used for the experiment was a Dramm (Manitowoc, Wis.) electrical air pump attached to a bubbler, and the mechanical circulation equipment was a battery-powered bilge pump (Marine Metal Products, Clearwater, Fla.). A Dosatron® (Clearwater, Fla.) unit at a 1:100 injection ratio was used effort to maximize differences brought on by nematode settling. At each sam- pling time, the number of nematodes applied, solution temperature and nematode viability were determined. The charts (Page 12) provide a graphic representation of case study results. The incorporation of nematodes into a comprehensive pest control pro- gram can increase its effectiveness, pro- vided appropriate application methods are practiced. Of course its important to consult labels and follow prescribed procedures, and with a bit of care, your control program can provide the results you need. Julie Graesch is nematode eld development specialist at Becker Underwood, Ames, Iowa, where she is responsible for product development, as well as coordinating research opportunities with universities and third parties.
